Steve's Web Journal Tips and Tricks:
Adding A Counter to your Journal
You can add a Bravenet Counter to your Journal header fairly easily as long as you are familiar with the basics of Copy and Paste. If you need help with learning how to paste code onto a webpage, visit this handy Help page: Copy/Paste Tutorial.

Alright, here is how to add a counter:

  1. Login to your Bravenet account
  2. Click on the Counter Stat service manager link
  3. Click on the Copy/Paste code option:


  4. Copy the Copy/Paste code provided:


  5. Go back to the Main Members Area page
  6. Click on the Web Journal service manager link.
  7. Click on the Edit Displayed Text option:


  8. Scroll down to the Journal Header box
  9. Click on the Plain Text/HTML Editor link:


  10. Paste in your Counter code
  11. Click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
Positioning the counter can be a little tricky as the Header is displayed in different sizes, depending on which theme you have selected, or the width you have defined for it. You may have to play around a little with the alignment.
